Nested Easter Egg Cupcakes

Nested Easter Egg Cupcakes – A fast and easy bake-it-pretty dessert.

Nested Easter Egg Cupcakes

No long post to follow and no recipe in this one. This is just a simple crafty cupcake. I couldn’t sleep last night and was struck with this bit of inspiration after collecting sticks with my 3-year-old. I have to say, I’m quite happy with how these Nested Easter Egg Cupcakes turned out.

A few notes:
1. Prepare you preferred cupcake and frosting.
2. For the eggs I used Cadbury Mini Eggs.
3. For the nest look, melt some chocolate and spread it to an 1/8 of an inch on parchment. Cool in fridge for 5 minutes. Once removed, start at one end of the parchment and roll to the other end. The chocolate will crack in shreds as you roll it.
4. Work quickly as the chocolate tends to melt from the warmth of your hands. If it does, return the chocolate to the fridge for a few minutes.
5. Lastly, Happy Easter!

what fashionable easter nests! good thing i didn’t make any this year. they’d look nothing close to these babies. Smart and almost devilish looking. I feel like I’d need to look smart (with big stylish collars LOL) to eat one of these. beautiful. x
