Mix and Match Pies

October 11, 2015 By Naomi Robinson | Bakers Royale 22 Comments

It’s not holiday season unless there’s pie, so to help you along I’ve partnered up with Crate and Barrel to share some mix and match pies.

German Chocolate Pie and Chocolate Coconut Cream Pie.

It all starts with a simple chocolate filling. From there you can make it as a straight up chocolate pie, but to keep things fun and interesting, I spun it into 2 creations: German Chocolate Pie and Chocolate Coconut Cream Pie. Both of which have also been finished with some cake decorating persuasion.

To get started, grab the recipes over at Crate and Barrel’s blog.

Hi! I found your post on the Crate & Barrel page yesterday and with my husband’s birthday coming up in two days, I was beyond excited to see your post of mix & match pies. They all look so lovely and sound beyond delicious. My only disappointment is that these recipes are not posted on your website as individual recipes so that they are clearer to follow and when I go to Crate’s link it gives each delicious recipe but it does not explain the assembly for each appropriate pie. I am only looking for the components that make up the German Chocolate Pie. Is there any way you can help me with this so that I have a chance to prepare this for my husband’s bday?

    Warmly,
    Genelia
