Mango Maui Mai Tai ~ Icy cold cocktail popsicles seem apropos for the current heat wave.
Let me start by saying the term “heat wave” is totally relative. Forget the fact that calling 80 degree weather a heat wave may be completely inaccurate to a meteorologist or it might be met with disbelieving sideways glances from the other adult occupant of my home.
Because you know what is not doable in a heat wave. . . .
House work. Cleaning a house in this type of weather might land one in the hospital from heat exhaustion.
Laundry. Who needs clothes in this weather? We were born naked.
Meal making. Firing up the stove in this heat? That’s crazy talk. Things have been known to spontaneously combust in extreme heat.
So you see, I may or may not have been using these excuses in response to the aforementioned house duties. And I may or may not be using the term “heat wave” as my season pass to laziness.
If you find yourself suffering from a heat wave, try to remind those in your life the dire consequences of being over worked by household non-essentials, then mix up some of these cocktail popsicles and get cool.
. . . Or just be cool and make some of these.

Ya, this ‘heat wave’ sure hasn’t hit us here is sunny CA. Let’s just rub it in a little more to the rest of the US, shall we 😉 Any excuse to be naked and eat popsicles though, I’ll take it. I mean, not do housework and eat popsicles.
Mango is my favorite fruit! looks fresh and just amazing!
What a great idea, I should say ideas. 🙂
Girl, you are a serious machine. Pumping out all these great creations. I’m really starting to wish we lived closer. I’d be there for my cocktail on a stick in a skinny minute!
These look amazing!
“Laundry. Who needs clothes in this weather? We were born naked.” – LOL – I don’t know about that one, I have a neighbor who takes that one to heart and it’s not pretty.
These look divine!
Stunning presentation, willing to bet they taste even more wonderful!
Slyvie- I only allow my the little guy of the household to take that one to heart! 🙂
They are so pretty and sound yummy!!!!
It’s 100 degrees here again in Virgina. With the heat index we are going somewhere around 110. I’m ready for fall and ready for one of these yummy pops!
Such fun popsicles!! The blig slab of pineapple on the bottom is a fun twist as is the mai tai. Have a great weekend 🙂
“blig” would be “BIG” 😉
