How to make Perfect Pizza at Home

July 30, 2014 By Naomi Robinson | Bakers Royale 9 Comments

Oh, hey lookie here, Craftsy is offering a FREE how-to Perfect Pizza class. And it’s taught by one of my favorite bakers Peter Reinhart.

His class will teach you how to stretch your dough and your imagination. Peter Reinhart guides you through each step of making a pizza. You’ll learn how to make pizza sauces, choose the right cheese and bake five types of dough. You’ll learn everything from how to make a Sicilian-style pizza to homemade pies and gluten-free options.

If you have never taken a class from Craftsy before, this is a great start. While you’re there checking this one out, don’t forget to look at the suite of classes they have for: cooking, baking, DIY, crafting and even photography.

It’s hard to beat an on-line class especially when you can pause, rewind and re-watch as you need—something you can’t do in a live class. And since I’ve taken several of their classes I can vouch for just how useful Craftsy and its community is. You can even ask questions as needed and either your peers or the instructor will answer anything you need to know. And once you create your account you can keep track of your classes and even save notes as the class goes along.

I have to chime in and say how much I LOVED the class too. I was very skeptical at first – I’m Italian and was all like, “So I’m going to be taught how to make perfect pizza by a Yankee? Sure thing.”
But the truth is, Peter’s dough recipes are to die for – even the gluten-free one, and i had never tried a gluten-free pizza that didn’t suck!
Plus he’s so nice and pleasant to listen to. Everybody, do take his class! <3

I’ve been really resisting the takeover of Craftsy but this class is calling my name. Especially after my last soggy pizza crust tragedy.
