Cocktail Popsicle: Dirty Pirate

September 14, 2011 By Naomi Robinson | Bakers Royale 8 Comments

This is a classic coke and rum, well almost, replace the regular rum with spice rum then throw in some Kahlua with it for a surprisingly, good, really good cocktail popsicle. I only say surprising because the idea of spiced rum and Kahlua seems like an awkward coupling, but it works.

This is a drink that was mentioned by my friend and co-worker Dru. When she said Dirty Pirate, I knew I had to work it into a post. Call me juvenile, but the name just cracks me up. Along with that I have sentimental spot for pirates, for no other reason than when I was a kid I didn’t play with dolls or Care Bears I was a tomboy – so yeah, pirates still rule in my book. I’m not sure about the kahlua, but regular rum and coke on a stick sounds good.

This is awesome! I didn’t expect that rum would freeze well b/c of the alcohol, but it looks like it works pretty well, VERY cool. 🙂 Love the food styling–I think it’s absolutely perfect!
