Cocktail Popsicle: Cherry Apple Whiskey Sour Popsicles

June 22, 2011 By Naomi Robinson | Bakers Royale 15 Comments

Cherry Apple Whiskey Sour Popsicle~ A whiskey sour gets summer styling with a few seasonal fruits in this week’s Cocktail Popsicle.

Cherry Apple Whiskey Sour Popsicles

Rarely mindful of rules, this week I created a blasphemous bartender’s dream by skipping the shaker for some moving blades. That’s right everything is going in the blender including the whiskey! But before you scream in protest, let me say that this cocktail-on-a-stick has your whiskey sour well in hand (and mouth!)

So here’s a Whiskey Wednesday to help nudge you over Hump Day. Joining Whiskey Wednesday for some summer lov’n are a few sweet cherries, tart apples and a lime to create a popsicle that’s also there to assist you in obtaining your daily serving of fruit.

It’s rule breaking – with benefits! Enjoy!

Head on over to Endless Simmer for my recipe write up for these Cherry Apple Whiskey Sour Popsicles

I think you’re Sweet & Sour Mix needs to be fixed. The ingredients don’t list lemon juice, but do list sugar twice.

I have been searching high and low for popsicle mould. If I find one, this recipe is the first one I am going to try. The shot is simply beautiful. Good enough to .. well .. lick 😀

Now THIS is what I’m talkin’ about! I love whiskey sours, and would die for it in frozen form. I have to make this tonight and pretend like it’s Friday! 🙂

Thanks for all your amazing cocktail popsicles!

What I like about this is that I wouldn’t normally drink this kind of cocktail… but in the popsicle form it sounds magical!

Try any dollar store. I get molds there all the time and for supper cheap. My kids are always losing the sticks that go to the molds.
