Remember these little Banana Split Bites? Well since my little guy loved them so much, I thought Iβd give these banana pops a go.
Success! He loved them. They are, as you can see quite easy to make and would be so much fun for a kid gathering.
No recipe required. Just chop the bananas to the desired size, coat in melted chocolate and dip in the topping of choice. Of course my little guy would have nothing to do with sprinkles, he liked it best with the coconut and my choice was for the coconut and almonds combined.
A few notes:
- I recommend popping a mini marshmallow on before skewering the banana. The marshmallow helps to keep the banana in place when youβre holding the banana pop upright.
- Use ripe but firm bananas for best results.
- If you are making these beforehand for a party, to quick- set the chocolate place the finished banana pop in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
Well these are certainly fabulous looking and I wouldnt have a problem popping a mini marshmallow on these, or just about anything else π
Such a cute and simple idea for kids!
THese are fabulous!!!
These are awesome! I could even have these for breakfast!

I can see myself making these very very soon with Maryam!
We did something similar with white chocolate to make banana ghosts for my boys’ birthday at their preschool. The kids loved it, and I loved that they were eating fruit– even if it was dipped in chocolate, covered in sugar.
Where do u get these straws?

Hi Bri – I got the straws from Shop Sweet Lulu, my favorite party store! Here’s the link:
I’m not sure how a kid wouldn’t go absolutely crazy over these. And I’m sure big kids would love them too. π
I didn’t know you could make anything cuter than your banana split bites! And anything with a paper straw is already cute. My little one is having a cooking party and I hope we can add this to our growing menu! π

Would Nutella work for the chocolate
What a fun, easy treat to make to celebrate the 1st day of school.
Did you end up doing this the day before? Thinking if doing he same for my Daughters bday party. Thanks!
Your banana pops are pretty cool. I love bananas and probably eat 40 or more a week.
These are absolutely adorable! I love this idea. Where did you get the paper you wrote sat everything on?
Has anyone made these a day before? I wondered if the banana is fully coated in chocolate, they might be ok?
