Weekend Edition 2

September 22, 2013 By Naomi Robinson | Bakers Royale 14 Comments

Apparently, cream sitting in a pitcher will sour after fours days. Not only will it do that (accelerated by four days of heat), but it will drive your husband nuts with its sour smell and my inability to clean-up after a shoot. Truly it is the most loathesome part of shooting. I’m so over it by the time I’m done, I just want to walk away and edit.

These Banana Nutella Pastry Pockets are an oldie from this post here. It’s a family favorite, especially for me since it’s so easy to make.

Little League is in full gear. Check out the little guy—love that face and the concentration.

And see the coach, I’m still trying to sneak him away for a kid-less weekend. If anyone knows of a great weekend getaway, please leave a comment.

Speaking of baseball, last weekend we were at a Dodgers game. Good times with the boys. Yes, boys, that’s my stepson – he’s pretty awesome. This may be the only time you see him on here for reasons that are beyond my control. But I thought it was time that he at least make a cameo. Even if it’s just his feet walking through Chinatown before the game.

If you followed me on the old Instagram feed than you know I had a shadowy obsession. Well, it’s back.

Meet my latest lunch time pal, Mortie. He doesn’t even twitch when we go by, so i decided to see what he would do if I photographed him. No reaction. None. Wonder if he’s hard of hearing.

That cream would have made a lovely farmer’s cheese! I use a ratio of 3:1 milk to cream.

Are you living inside my head? I feel exactly the same at the end of a photo shoot! I just want the mess to disappear so I can get to my computer to see what I shot and edit!!
P.S. Your son is just so cute in his little football outfit.

Well, I can tell you from my misspent teenage years that milk sitting in a mug will mould after four weeks and smell like baby sick.

How very kind of you for sharing your favorite Etsy shops, and how honored to be one of them. A note to all who love to cook, The United States has outlawed teflon pans as of 2015. We have antique cast iron cooking, muffin pans, gem pans, skillets, griddles, kettles, and dutch ovens, Professionally Cleaned and Lightly Seasoned, and ready to use right out of the box.
